November 2018
Clothing Drive
Collected from 7 different schools and community centres across BC, AOC donated more than 200 items of gently used clothing to Directions Youth Services, a shelter for homeless youth.

Sandwich DRIVE
AOC members delivered over 150 sandwiches to disadvantaged communities and shelters including East Hastings in downtown Vancouver, downtown Coquitlam, and Guildford Shelter in Surrey.

BEACH CLEANUP
As the weather warmed up, AOC members across 5 districts performed cleanups at beaches, making the beaches a nicer place for our community to enjoy.

Hogar De Gina FUNDRAISER
Across 4 districts, AOC members raised nearly 700 dollars through Krispy Kreme fundraisers that were donated to Hogar De Gina in Peru. This donation will go towards birthday celebrations, Christmas and New Years' events.

Xmas wishlist
Using the funds raised from a Krispy Kreme fundraiser across 5 different districts, AOC donated around 400 dollars worth of Christmas Wishlist items to Ray-Cam Community Centre.

Easter events
AOC members participated in the Big Easter Run, an event that raised funds for the organization Kidsport and enjoyed volunteering at the Vandusan Botanical Garden Easter Event.

BEACH CLEANUP
Once again, across 3 districts, members of AOC performed cleanups at the beaches and along the ocean shore, contributing to a cleaner and greener community.

SCHOOL UNIFORM FUNDRAISER
AOC members received handmade llama keychains from Hogar De Gina girls in efforts to raise funds for their school uniforms this coming spring and donated 200 dollars to the girls to support their cause.

Hogar dE Gina Fundraiser
Members of AOC and Hogar de Gina club at WPGA donated over 600 dollars raised from Krispy Kreme fundraisers to Hogar de Gina in Peru and helped sponsor a beach trip and pool trip for all the girls.

Over 700 dollars were raised through Krispy Kreme donuts by members of AOC and Hogar de Gina club at WPGA which were donated to Hogar De Gina in Peru and helped sponsor a movie trip for all the girls.
OCTOBER 2019
BC CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL FUNDRAISER
AOC members volunteered at the Glow Halloween event at Vandusan Garden and donated over 250 dollars to BC Children's Hospital raised from a Krespy Kreme and candy bags fundraiser by the Surrey District.
Minor EVENTS
Santa's Breakfast
Vancouver District | December 9, 2018
AOC members of the Vancouver District volunteered at the Breakfast with Santa event at the West Point Grey Community Centre. The volunteers contributed to the event by making and serving refreshments, guiding the guests, singing Christmas carols, bonding with the children, and cleaning up after the event.
Flea Market
Burnaby District | January 31, 2019
AOC members of the Burnaby district held a flea market at Moscrop Secondary School. All the proceeds from the event were donated to Wounded Warriors Canada, a program that supports Canada’s ill and injured soldiers, to honor and help these brave warriors who fought on behalf of Canda in war.
SPCA Dinner
Tri-Cities District | April 26, 2019
AOC members of the Tri-city District volunteered at a local Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals dinner fundraiser organized by the district director. The volunteers contributed to the event by welcoming and guiding the guests, making and serving light refreshments, and managing the auction.
Climate Strike
Vanouver District | September 27, 2019
AOC members of the Vancouver District participated in the Global Climate Strike on September 27th, along with 120k others who participated in the movement.
As self-aware, passionate, and progressive teenagers, AOC members loved being part of a movement that calls attention to the biggest issue of our time.
